STAMFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Forester Capital, an alternative investment platform, has strengthened its institutional business development team with the addition of industry veterans Julia Peter-Kerr and Jim McKenna, who will serve as managing directors.
Prior to joining Forester, Peter-Kerr, CFA, was a managing director at New Age Alpha, where she was responsible for institutional sales. She was also a consultant for Mathesis, advising long-only and alternative asset managers on a broad range of business development and start-up activities. An entrepreneur, Peter-Kerr co-founded Quotient Investors, a quantitative equity firm seeded by California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), where she served as managing partner and head of sales and client services.
Peter-Kerr also held leadership roles at DIAM, AXA Rosenberg Investment Management, Jacobs Levy Equity Management and MSCI Barra.
McKenna joined Forester from Camden Asset Management, where he was director of investment solutions responsible for institutional fundraising. He was also managing director and head of North America business development for InfraHedge, and previously a partner and managing director at HedgeMark Advisors, where he was globally responsible for strategic relationships as well as business development for the EMEA and APAC regions.
McKenna has extensive international experience, including senior roles at Lyxor Asset Management, Société Générale CIB, BNP Paribas and Zurich Capital Markets in their hedge fund derivatives and managed accounts businesses.
